Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026 · Applies to Kunji and the Kunji Pro key app for Android

The short version

  • Kunji collects no data. It has no internet permission, so it can't send anything anywhere.
  • Your files, passwords and signatures stay on your phone.
  • If you email us, we see only what you choose to send.

What Kunji collects

Nothing. Kunji has no accounts, analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools. The Android app does not have the internet permission, so it physically cannot upload your files or send data about you. You can check this on Kunji's Google Play listing under App permissions, or in your phone's settings.

Your files

Every job (unlocking, converting, merging, organizing, signing) runs on your phone. Kunji opens only the files you choose, through Android's own file picker or share sheet. Each result is a new file saved where you pick. Your original file is never changed. Temporary working copies are deleted when a job ends or you leave the screen.

The Files list in Kunji remembers the names of files you opened recently, on your phone only. You can clear it in Settings.

Passwords and signatures

Permissions

Kunji asks for USE_BIOMETRIC for the optional App lock (fingerprint or PIN) and VIBRATE for touch feedback. It does not ask for internet, storage, contacts, location, camera or microphone access.

Kunji Pro

Pro is a separate key app sold on Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details Google gives every developer, and never your card details. The key app has no permissions. Kunji only checks, on your phone, that it is installed.

Emails you send us

Report a problem and Send feedback open your own email app with a message you can read before sending. A problem report describes the error, your phone model and Android version, and the structure of the file. It never includes file names, passwords or anything written in your files. We use what you send only to reply and fix the problem, and delete it when it's no longer needed.

Children

Kunji collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. If Kunji ever needed to collect data, the app would have to ask for new permissions, which Android shows you before you update.
